Mitel SWA and Upcoming Changes

Mitel Software Assurance (SWA) was designed to complement BSB’s service offers, giving you the security of staying current with the latest functionality and innovations delivered for the Mitel solutions. Mitel SWA enables your organization to also benefit from; software concurrency, ongoing standards compliance, security fixes and Mitel technical support if an issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by BSB’s trained technicians on their own.  Mitel support experts apply deep technical knowledge to collect system data, replicate and isolate faults, validate configuration changes, point out third party product integration challenges, or engage with Mitel product development teams when needed.

Notice: Upcoming changes to Software Assurance policy effective Q1 2020. The Mitel Applications Management Center (AMC) will require SWA to be registered for each new license that is added to an application record that has active SWA. In the case of license add-ons to an existing product, SWA must be purchased for the added license(s), to make sure that the complete product is covered by SWA entitlements. This policy is already enforced for most products, but it was not previously enforced for the products managed in the AMC license server. The added licenses must have SWA that matches or exceeds the remaining term of the target application record, to save your organization from having to renew SWA for the added licenses before the renewal of the rest of the application record.

These changes apply to all products licensed in AMC with a SWA offer, except for MiVoice Office 250 and MiContact Center Office.
