Windows 7 End of Life Countdown!
Are you Prepared?

After this date, Microsoft will no longer develop countermeasures or fixes to address security breaches, exploits, viruses, and cyberattacks, leaving Windows 7 computers vulnerable. There are a number of Mitel applications (e.g., Oaisys call recording, Phone Manager, CSM, Xarios) that BSB clients may be running on PC’s/servers running a Windows 7 operating system.

For some time now, Microsoft and the broader media have been warning that as of January 14th  2020 they will no longer support or provide security updates, bug fixes and patches for the Windows 7 operating system. Your Windows 7 device will continue to work; however, it will no longer be eligible for technical support, which will make your PC/server vulnerable to security breaches and viruses. BSB strongly recommends that you take immediate action and do one of the following:

  • Microsoft is offering a one year, paid Windows 7  Extended Security Updates program for a fee of $50 per device. This will include Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise versions. Please note Windows XP and older versions are not part of this offer. For more information, click on the link below.

  • If you are not using the current Mitel application software that is running on your Windows 7 or XP PC. Take the PC out of service.

  • Upgrade the PC/server to Windows 10 Operating System (Please note: verify your current software is compatible with Windows 10 software)
