A Year in Review
As we wrap up 2019, we want to thank our clients and the BSB team for contributing to another year of growth for BSB Communications.
We were proud to add a number of new commercial clients to our portfolio this year. Chief among them were BeneSys Administrators, Inc., Doherty Hotel, English Gardens, and Haas Door.
BSB also upgraded or expanded the unified communication systems of existing clients like Buff Whelan, Goldfish Swim Schools, Hagopian World of Rugs, IBI, LG Chem, and Living Essentials.
This past year, we continued to leverage Mitel’s exclusive Unified Communications contract with Sourcewell (a cooperative purchasing organization) to offer cost effective proposals to public sector and nonprofit organizations throughout the State of Michigan and Northwest Ohio.
New BSB clients in this space include the City of Flint, Fowlerville Community Schools, Hillsdale County, Hope College, Mid-Michigan Community College, the Charter Township of Waterford and Ypsilanti Community Utility Authority.
We also had the opportunity to upgrade the systems for a number of existing BSB clients, including: Flat Rock Community Schools, Genesee County, Hudsonville Public Schools, Macomb County Community Mental Health, City of Monroe, and the City of Port Huron.
The combination of Sourcewell work we did for new and existing clients placed BSB in the Top Five of Mitel dealers in the United States utilizing the Sourcewell contract. Thank you for your confidence in BSB!

Another development in 2019 was a growing interest in cloud-based solutions, also known as Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS). Mitel is a leading provider of UCaaS and BSB helped several existing and new clients ranging in size from 5 users to 150 users with their migration to the cloud.
Other highlights of 2019 include our annual customer educational event, Techtober Expo, held at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, MI. We had xx educational sessions led by experts from Mitel and other industry partners. We have already begun planning for next year’s event.
BSB also participates in a variety of industry events; including the Michigan Credit Union League’s Annual Convention & Exposition, the MCUL Contact Center Conference, GMIS’s Conference, MAEDS, and the MI Cybersecurity Conference.
All of this customer activity afforded BSB the opportunity to add some talented new people to our team in 2019. We are excited to have Eric Fritz as a Project Manager, Jim Hopkins as a Senior Account Executive, and Mohmoud Al-Roubaie as a Staff Accountant.
We look forward to continued growth in 2020 and wish a healthy and prosperous New Year to all of our clients and staff!
